Hot Cross Porridge

Want to experience the traditional flavours of Good Friday but don’t fancy making my Hot Cross Buns? Look no further. This simple recipe is a much quicker way to recreate the Hot Cross bun! In less than 5 minutes you can have a warming bowl of Easter oats…and with the weather we’ve been having, warming is exactly what you need!

Excuse the weird amounts but I wanted to track the syn value on this recipe. Slimming Worlders…If you follow the weights exactly it works out as 5 syns with the protein, 3 without but I would probably add some ginger. Everyone else…Feel free to adjust quantities to suit you šŸ™‚

Ingredients

40g Oats

13g Sultanas

7g Mixed Peel

Pinch of Cinnamon (plus extra to top)

Pinch of Nutmeg

10g Whey Box Gingerbread Protein (1/3rd of a Sachet)

1 Tsp Stevia

Method

I literally just tipped everything into a saucepan with some water (how much is entirely up to you) and cooked on a low heat for a couple of minutes until I had the consistency I like. See I told you…Super simple!
